Our first full week of school went very well! The students are adjusting to their schedules and teachers report classes are running smoothly! Grades 4 and 5 were visited by our band program and were many were very excited about joining our band program. Next week, we will have a visit from our string program! If your child is interested in learning to play an instrument, whether it is a band or string instrument, encourage them to try this new adventure 🙂
I will be emailing parents an alternative car pick up for dismissal. Please take a chance to look over the information. I plan to start this on the Tuesday after Labor Day. Fr. Jerry and I are both in agreement that students walking out into the parking lot is not a safe option for our students. The new system will allow you to stay in your car and pull up to the curb by the doors and students will then be loaded into your vehicle. This will take patience as everyone learns how to line up in the parking lot. This is the procedure that I am accustomed to using and many other Catholic schools use the same procedure. If you would like to volunteer to help line up cars for the first week, please contact me. Please remember, our goal is not to inconvenience the parents/guardians, but insure our students are safe.
Thank you for entrusting your child(ren) to us each day! Have a blessed week 🙂
