There are so many new faces around St. Vivian – both students and staff alike. We’d like to introduce you to all the staff and give you a little bit of the background so you can see who is all part of St. Vivian’s family.
Mrs. Franzosa – 4th Grade
Mrs. Franzosa is the 4th grade teacher. She is a graduate of Bowling Green State University and Xavier University (Master’s). Mrs. Franzosa has taught for 18 years and in a variety of settings – with Honors students and even incarcerated teens. Mrs. Franzosa came to St. Vivian because she wanted to be at a school where the parents and teachers are a team and found that St. Vivian has great parental support. Originally Mrs. Franzosa is from Cleveland and loves anything Cleveland Indians!!! Her favorite subject from grade school was music class and choir and orchestra. Mrs. Franzosa is married to a Cincinnati native and has 2 children who attend Mercy and Elder and a dog and cat. She loves Orcas and Snoopy and anything Cleveland Indians.
Mrs. Duncomb – 5th Grade
Mrs. Duncomb is the 5th grade teacher. She started in the middle of last year. Mrs. Duncomb went to Tulane University where she got a degree in Latin American Studies and Political Science and graduated from National-Louis University with a Master’s in Teaching. Mrs. Duncomb taught Science and Social Studies for a few years in Illionois in both Spanish and English. She studied abroad in both Cuba and Ecuador. She came to St. Vivian after filling out a questionnaire on the Catholic Archdiocese page and Mrs. Brack contacted her. Mrs. Duncomb is originally from Chicago but grew up mostly in Wisconsin. She has been married for 15 years and has two children. Her son, Logan is on Moeller’s basketball team (he’s 6’8”!). Mrs. Duncomb also takes care of a brood of pets – a dog, a ferret, and a hamster.
