News From PTA:

Hello Parents!  Well, we’ve made it through our first full week…whew!  There have been some growing pains as Admin works to pivot through some major changes.  But I have faith that everything will work out in the end :o)
How to contact the PTA:If you have any question for the PTA, please email We can help you get your 20 volunteer hours!
Remember to follow the school on Facebook:St. Vivian School
When does the PTA meet?Attending a PTA meeting is a GREAT way to get more involved in your child’s school, connect with other parents and really make a difference for the students.  They say it takes a village to raise a child and here at St. Vivian, we really take this to heart!  Many of the fun and exciting events throughout the year are not possible if we do not have the hands to support them.  St. Vivian is such a wonderful school because of the AMAZING parents that volunteer throughout the year!  There is a reason you chose our school for your child, we are counting on you to help us continue to be successful and the best option for your family.  We really hope to see many new faces at both the meetings and helping with events this year.   This year, we will alternate months with the 3rd Thursday and 3rd Sunday.  Following is a schedule for our next 4 meetings, all held in St. Ursuline Hall.  Childcare will be provided, so bring the whole family!  This is a great oppotunity for a Middle School student to earn service hours!  If interested, please email the PTA.

  • Sunday September 15 @ 6pm, St. Ursuline Hall
  • Thursday October 17 @ 7pm, St. Ursuline Hall
  • Sunday November 17 @ 6pm, St. Ursuline Hall
  • No meeting in December
  • Thursday January 16 @ 7pm, St. Ursuline Hall

Volunteer opportunities: We have 2 upcoming opportunities in October:
Fall Harvest Festival (formerly Pumpkin Carving Night)Thursday, October 24th, 6:00p-7:30pThis fun, family-friendly, social event is a hit with the kids of all ages!  Bring your pumpkin to carve, tools are provided, play games and hang out with classmates and other parents!  We need 2 Coordinators to head this up, as well as helpers to set up before and clean up after.  If you have ever planned a birthday party or family holiday, you CAN coordinate this event!  If you are interested, please email the PTA.  We will give you everything you need to plan this. This is also a great opportunity for Middle School kids to earn service hours, as they are the ones to head up the games.  A Sign Up Genius will follow in the next couple of weeks.
Fall FundraiserOctober 21 – November 8This year, students will sell both the Discover coupon books and a Tervis style tumbler.  The tumblers will be offered with our school logo inside, and other styles, such as college and professional sports logos, will be offered on-line. We need 2 Coordinators to head this up; someone who would work with the contact person at Midwest Fundraising.  Since the items are on a pre-order basis, it’s an easy fundraiser to head up.  And you would have tons of support and help when it came to distribute the purchased items.  If you are interested, please email the PTA
Gym ShortsIf you pre-ordered a pair, they will be delivered to your student by the end of next week.

Virtus Training:The Archdiocese of Cincinnati requires all adult who come in contact with our children be Virtus Trained.  This training is so important because it really helps adults recognize signs of child abuse and take action to help porotect our innocent children.  The packet included 2 sessions that will be held at St. Vivian, however, there are many, many opportunities every week, throughout the city.  Coming to St. Vivian is not your only choice and doesn’t mean it’s only for our school’s parents and church parishioners.  There will be people from all over who choose our location.  Did you know that you have already paid your training fee when you enrolled your child?  So why not put your money to good use and attend a class?  Click HERE to see a list of upcoming classes and to register.  If the link doesn’t work, you can copy and paste the following link into your browser: https://www. list.cfm?theme=0
Uniform ExchangeSt. Vivian is so blessed to have such generous families who donate uniforms to this program!  If you need uniforms, please email  Tracey Bohem and Kelly Braun manage this program and they would be happy to help you out. If you have gently used jumpers, skirts, pants, shorts and shirts that your child can no longer fit, please consider donating them to our Uniform Exchange!  As a courtesy, we ask that you please, please launder your items before donating.  This will ensure that we can pass them along quickly to another student.  Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful consideration.
Thank you and we continue to pray that God blesses you, your families, and our wonderful school staff this year!
