NEWS FROM SCHOOL: All School Activities are canceled until 4/6/20

Good Morning, 

Starting Monday, students will be required to use a blended online and paper-pencil learning component.  The teachers have been working for the past two days to create an appropriate learning platform for your child.  Each homeroom teacher will send out a separate email regarding website login  and password information.  Please make sure you are able to login-if not, contact the homeroom teacher as they have all the information pertaining to their classroom.  Assignments will be delivered each morning through the online component.   If you do not have access to the internet, the library is a wonderful resource to use.  All online activity can be through a smartphone, computer or tablet.  Most smartphones have hot-spot internet ability to use on tablets and computers. 

BOOK and PAPERWORK PICKUP TIMES: All work will be placed in the breezeway by the gym and trophy case. 

Your child's books and paperwork will be available and doors unlocked :
Saturday 3/14 from 2:00 pm - 3:00pm only     Mass time (3:00) Please join us for Mass!! 
Sunday  3/15 from 8:30 am - 9:30 am Only Mass at (9:30)
Monday 3/16 from 8:00 am-12:00 pm  Only

  • It is imperative that your child's books and work be picked up before noon on Monday.   

Teacher availability: 
We know you cannot do this on your own!  We have set up the following times that all teachers will be online to assist you through email Monday-Friday (including the 20th which will be used as an E-learning day):

8:00am-11:00am
12:00pm-2:00 pm
6:30 pm- 8:00 pm 

Any questions should be directed to the teacher who is responsible for the classwork. 

Spring Break
At this time, spring break will continue as planned- the next three weeks is not vacation for the staff and students.  They will be working extra hard from home (and teachers from school at times) to ensure the student learning is continuing.  If needed, this will be reevaluated and changed. 

I know this is a stressful time for everyone!  Your St Vivian Staff  has been putting in long days and late evenings to prepare for this uncharted territory.  Please be patient as we work through and tweak lessons.   This was something we did not expect this soon and although we have been working for the past two weeks to come up with a plan-just in case- we were caught by surprise when the Governor announced yesterday that all schools would be closing.   

I sincerely hope that each and everyone stays healthy and we can move past this in three weeks and resume normal activities at school.  I would also like you to be prepared that closing schools could be extended if the outbreak is not contained at the end of the three weeks.  Again, I understand and feel your frustration and concern.  We are here to guide you through this process and hope it is a fun learning experience for the students.

St. Vivian Fun Fest Major Raffle

This year to benefit the Fr. Jack Filippine Activity Center Floor. 

Win $8,000* and support the Activity Center Fundraiser!

The Boosters and Parish Council are working together to raise money to replace the activity center floor! The activity center is used by all at St. Vivian's - our students, parishioners, friends and our community! The floor is in need of an upgrade. Both organizations are working tirelessly to ensure the best possible floor is installed for the benefit of all connected to St. Vivian's.
