(opens in new tpens in new tab)
The High School Placement Test (HSPT) is a standardized battery of tests given to incoming freshmen for the purpose of determining admission and subsequent placement in the proper level for their English and mathematics courses. The test consists of the following subtests: Verbal Skills, Quantitative Skills, Reading, Mathematics, and Language.
The HSPT is required to be considered for admission to area Catholic high schools. Please click the button below to register and for more information. Students applying to high schools in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati may only take the HSPT one time.
Testing is typically scheduled for a single day in November. Parents will receive a copy of student test results, and results will be sent to up to three high schools of your choice, selected during registration.
